ConsultIndividual consultations are offered for anyone interested in learning how to improve their health. First time consultations typically take one to one and one half hours. Prior preparation can help the consult go smoother. Please email or bring along a Personal Health History form or email it to billsholistichealth@gmail.com several days before your appointment.
What can I expect from my first consult? The consult helps you and me to understand your situation at a deeper level. We will look at a variety of aspects of your health including physical, mental and emotional. Homeopathy is individualized...questions about all aspects of yourself will be explored. Some issues include Chief complaint. What it is that is bothering you the most. Etiology: How did this start? What conditions may have brought this on. What was going on in your life preceding the onset of symptoms. Symptoms & how you experience them. You may be asked specific details about any symptoms you are experiencing and how you feel they affect you This may include such things as the specific location, sensation, what makes it better or worse. General characteristics: this includes information about how you function normally and how it may have changed. For example are you generally energetic, fast paced or average or slow paced and lacking energy. What makes symptoms feel better or worse. Do your symptoms feel better with such things as temperature(heat or cold), weather(rainy, dry, hot, chilly), time of day, movement or lying still. Many factors may influence how you feel. Describe anything that influences the intensity or pattern of symptoms. Diet. Be ready to describe the kinds of food you typically eat. Also be able to list any strong food cravings or aversions you may have. Mental and Emotional Patterns An understanding of how you function and respond on a mental and emotional level is very important. People can be exposed to the same stresses and environmental influences. What differentiates them is how they react on the mental and emotional levels. Mental and emotional patterns can play a big role in attaining strong health. When your patterns are understood they can bu used in the most optimal way to help you achieve a strong sense of health and vitality. |
